Help with paying for childcare
A number of support schemes are available depending on the age and needs of your child, and your income. For details see Childcare and Early Years.
School uniforms and PE kits
If your child attends a school in Harrow and you'd like to apply for a school clothing grant, you'll need to contact the school directly. For more information on how to do this see Help with the cost of school clothing.
School travel grants

Free school meals
You can apply for free school meals if:
- your child attends a Harrow school
- is aged between 5 and 18 years
- and you get certain benefits
Healthy Start Vouchers
The Healthy Start provides eligible families with free vouchers every week to spend on food and milk. They can be used to buy certain types of milk, infant formula, fruits, vegetables and vitamins. You may qualify if you are at least 10 weeks pregnant or have at least one child under the age of 4 and you are on benefits (or if you are pregnant and under 18).
