A naming ceremony is a great way to:
- celebrate the birth of a new baby
- welcome an adopted child or
- welcome step-children into your family.
Any parent or guardian can arrange a naming ceremony. There is no age limit, so older children can join too.
The ceremony is non-religious and has no legal standing. It is just a way to show love and support for your child.
Our registrars are trained to make sure your ceremony is a special day. We can tailor your ceremony to suit your child’s age and your family's traditions.
Each ceremony lasts for around 30 minutes and includes:
- introduction and greetings
- readings and/or music
- naming of the child
- the parents’ promises to their child
- signing of the commemorative certificate
- any closing words.
At the end, you will get a commemorative certificate.
