You can arrange to have a marriage or civil ceremony in Harrow at The Pavilion (Register office) or an approved licensed venue.
Ceremonies at The Pavillion (Register office)
The Pavillion is an ideal setting if your ceremony is for 50 guests or fewer. It is available:
- Monday to Friday 9.30am-12pm and 2pm-4pm
- Saturdays 9.30am-11.30am
It is located in Harrow town centre with good transport links close by. To make a booking or viewing please contact the Register office.
Approved licensed venues in Harrow
Harrow has many venues with licences for marriage or civil ceremonies. These are known as approved venues. You may choose to hold your ceremony at these venues rather than The Pavillion.
Two registrars from our Register office need to attend your ceremony. You must book a registrar before booking the venue. Harrow registrars can only hold ceremonies in Harrow.
- Apollonia Events provides an all-inclusive package. Perfect for marriages and civil partnerships.
- Everest Abercorn. Equipped with a spacious function room. It can accommodate up to 100 guests for a sit-down meal.
- The Great Barn: a heritage site dating from 1506 and part of Headstone Manor. The 14th-century manor house has a moat around it. The Great Barn can accommodate between 80 and 250+ guests.
- Grim's Dyke Hotel. A country house formerly home of WS Gilbert of 'Gilbert and Sullivan' fame. There are three rooms: The Music Room, Gilbert's restaurant, and the Drawing Room. It is a popular venue, and it stands in extensive grounds.
- Harrow School. Harrow School is a wedding venue set across 300 acres of stunning grounds. The venue has four civil licenced venues, with varying capacity from 5 to 500.
- The Hive London. The Hive is in Edgware with various sized rooms.
- Stanmore Golf club. Providing a picturesque setting for your ceremony or reception. All-inclusive packages are available. The view from the clubhouse over the golf course is spectacular.
- Tithe Farm Sports and Social Club. Situated in Rayners Lane and can accommodate up to 220 people
Statutory ceremony
This is a brief, simple ceremony held in an administrative office at Harrow Register Office.
It cannot be personalised or enhanced with music, exchange of rings and no photographs taken in the room. Only 2 guests are permitted, and they will also act as your witnesses. Both witnesses should be over the age of 16 and able to speak or understand English.
Please call us to arrange a statutory ceremony. The fee is £56.00, plus £12.50 per certificate.
