What happens at the meetings?

  1. Questions to the Chair or Portfolio Holder will be asked in the order in which they were received.
  2. The person to whom the question has been put may arrange for another Councillor to provide the answer.
  3. You will be invited by the Chair to read your question at the meeting. The Councillor will provide a verbal response or might undertake to provide you with a written response after the meeting.
  4. You may ask one supplementary question directly relating to the answer given to your written question.
  5. Questions not dealt with during public question time due to a lack of time, will be answered in writing. Answers to questions not reached at a meeting will also be posted on the website.
  6. Questions and answers are audio and video recorded.
  7. The recording will be placed on the Council’s website as soon as practicable after the meeting: www.harrow.gov.uk/virtualmeeting
