Garden waste service

The brown Garden waste bins help to dispose of biodegradable waste. Examples of this type of waste include:

• grass cuttings
• leaves and flowers
• shrub and bush clippings
• small branches and twigs.

Soil, mud, rubble, tree branches, and stones should not be disposed of in your Garden waste bin. Fallen fruit from fruit trees must go in your food waste caddy. See what you need to do on your bin collection day.

Subscribe to our Garden waste service

New Garden waste subscriptions for the current 2024/25 period have now closed. Subscriptions to the 2025/26 Garden waste service will open in early 2026.

Manage your Garden waste service

You can make changes to your Garden waste service online. You can view:

• your current payment method
• when your first collection was/will be
• when your final collection was/will be
• your Garden waste membership number.

You can also make changes to your Garden waste service, including:

• cancelling your service
• moving your service to another address in Harrow
• requesting an extra bin or a bin repair.

Garden waste stickers and start dates

You will receive your sticker within two weeks of first signing up. You can see a schedule outlined below.
