North Harrow Circular Walk cancelled
Please note the North Harrow Circular Walk will not take place on Friday 22nd November has been cancelled. It will return on Friday 29th November. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Regular walk locations and schedule
How difficult are the walks?
Our walks vary in length and difficulty to give everyone a chance to benefit from walking:
- Easy: Flat, even ground, shorter walks. Ideal for everyone including those with pushchairs and wheelchairs
- Moderate: Some slight gradients but mostly even ground. Around 1 hour walks.
- Moderate to difficult: These walks will include some inclined ground
- Difficult: Will have inclines and the route may go through rough ground. The walks are usually longer.
- Challenging: More than 90 minutes long. Longer walk with some steep inclines and along rough ground’

Join us earlier for a smoother stroll
To get the best out of the walk you attend, make sure to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start time so that the walk can begin promptly.
Bank holidays
Walks may or may not go ahead during bank holidays. You can check with the walk leaders a few days before to check.
Severe weather
Walks usually go ahead come rain or shine. When there is severe weather such as snowy, icy conditions, walk leaders will cancel walks.
Easy walks
- Day and Time: Wednesdays, 9.30am - 10am. Tai-Chi 10am-11am
- Meeting Point: The entrance next to Park Life Café, High Road, Harrow Weald HA3 6EJ
- Description: 20-30 minutes, friendly walk around Boxtree Park. You can also choose to enjoy a free session of gentle tai-chi after the walk led by the Harrow Weald Tai Chi Group.
- Day and Time: Wednesdays 13:00pm - 13:45pm
- Meeting Point: The Seva Café, Harrow Recreation Ground
- Description: A fun and low intensity friendly walk in beautiful nature around the Harrow Recreation Ground for women, led by a local community group. Benches are available around the park if you need to rest. There is a toilet available in the Café. At the end of the-45 minute walk, there is an informal and fun "laughter for wellbeing" session for about 10-15 minutes. It is easy, low intensity and not compulsory. During the summer months we also practice our balance using the beams, for just a few minutes - not compulsory. Please wear comfortable trainers or walking shoes.
Headstone Manor Park Walk and Yoga
- Day and Time: Wednesdays and Sundays 10:00am -11:00am
- Meeting Point: The Moat Café near Headstone Manor Museum / Pinner View road
- Description: A short 30-40 circular walk in Headstone Manor Recreation Ground followed by 20-30 minutes of gentle standing yoga stretches led by Yoga Yatra Studios. No mats required. All levels welcome.
Pinner Memorial Beginners' Walk
- Day and Time: Thursdays 10:00am-10:30am/10:45am
- Meeting Point: The ‘Daisy’s in the Park’ Café at West House, Pinner Memorial Park
- Description This is a short, 30-45 minute, slower paced walk on flat ground around the beautiful Pinner Memorial Park. Route includes benches and toilets. This walk is great for those new to walking or those who are less able to tackle our other walks. Paths and grassy areas can be slippery when wet, so please ensure you have suitable footwear.
- Day and Time: Fridays 10.45am - 11.15am
- Meeting Point: The Seva Café, Harrow Recreation Ground
- Description: Join us every Friday at Harrow Recreation Ground for the Harrow Rec Walk and Talk. Perfect for beginners. Take a leisurely 30-minute walk along the park's accessible paved paths, guided by our cheerful Harrow Health Walks volunteers. You can walk at your own pace and rest on benches along the way.
GP Direct (West Harrow Park) Walk
- Day and Time: Sundays 9:00am - 9:45am
- Meeting Point: Walk through the park entrance opposite Wellbeck road and turn left towards the concrete footpath.
- Description: An easy circular walk in lovely West Harrow Recreation Ground. Come and hear a 5-minute talk at the end of the walk from a GP or a health professional. Please note the group does not meet until the 9.45am talk at the centre of the park. Start walking from 9am around the path and our walk leaders in hi-vis jackets will be there to support you.
Moderate walks
- Day and Time: Tuesdays 10:00am - 11:20am
- Meeting Point: In front of the centre, by the bus stop. End point at Byron Park
- Description: Friendly walk from Belmont Health Centre to Byron Park. You are free to join us at any point around the Byron Park path. There is an informal exercise session at the end of the walk in Byron Park. The session is fun, low intensity and not compulsory.
- Day and Time: Tuesdays 2:00pm -2:45pm
- Meeting Point: Outside Stanmore Park Medical Centre, William Drive
- Description: A short walk from Stanmore Park Medical Centre through Bentley Priory.
- Day and Time: Fridays 10:30am -11:20am
- Meeting Point: The Sundial at Harrow Arts Centre (front entrance), Harrow Arts Centre
- Description: 50 minutes, friendly health walk through Pinner Park Farm and back
- Day and Time: Most Saturdays 10:00am - 11:10am
- Meeting Point:Outside Rayners Lane Underground Station, by Shapes in Hair Hairdressers
- Description: This walk explores the wild and wonderful parkland of Roxbourne Park. Mainly off road and very green. Can be muddy, especially after rain. The route varies. Highlights include Roxbourne Rough Nature Reserve and Yeading Brook.
Moderate to difficult walks
- Day and Time: Mondays 2:00pm - 3:15pm
- Meeting Point: Harrow on the Hill Underground Station, Lowlands Road Side
- Description: This walk follows different routes, of similar length, around parks near Harrow on the Hill station. The walk always includes at least one (and sometimes two) climbs to the top of Harrow on the Hill. A moderate level of fitness is essential.
- Day and Time: Mondays 10:30am - 11:30am
- Meeting Point: Outside South Harrow Underground Station
- Description: Roxeth Recreation Park, South Hill Ave and surrounding area. Route includes rough ground and steep gradients.
- Day and Time: Wednesdays 10:30am - 11:45am
- Meeting Point: Northwick Park Underground Station, Northwick Avenue side
- Description: Some rough ground with occasional gradients. Usually follows Harrow School or Preston Road route. The route may vary.
- Day and Time: Fridays 11:00am -12:30pm
- Meeting Point: Meet outside the office of Sam Accountants. Turn left from the exit of North Harrow Underground Station, towards the junction with Cambridge Road.
- Description: This walk includes parts of Pinner Park Farm and Headstone Manor Recreation Ground.
- Day and Time: Thursdays 10:00am - 11:00/11:15am
- Meeting Point: The ‘Daisy’s in the Park’ Café at West House, Pinner Memorial Park
- Description: Take a trip around historical Pinner. Most weeks the walks are one hour in duration. The route varies week to week.
Difficult walks
Belmont Rattlers Walk Part 1 (April to October Only)
- Day and Time: Second Saturday of the Month 2:00pm - 3.30pm
- Meeting Point: Wealdstone Side of Harrow and Wealdstone Station
- Description: A walk in two 90 minute parts. You can do either or both walks: together it is a circular route. There is a tea break between them. A lovely ramble along an old railway line, including a steep gradient and rough ground. Waterproof footwear recommended after wet weather.
Belmont Rattlers Walk Part 2 (April to October Only)
- Day and Time: Second Saturday of The Month 4:00pm - 5:30pm
- Meeting Point: St John's Church in Stanmore
- Description: A walk in two 90-minute parts. You can do either or both walks: together it is a circular route. There is a tea break between them. A lovely ramble along an old railway line, including a steep gradient and rough ground. Waterproof footwear recommended after wet weather.
Challenging walks
- Day and Time: First Saturday of the Month
- Meeting Point: 10:00am - 12:15pm
- Description: A longer more challenging walk for experienced walkers. It takes place on the first Saturday of the month from 10am to 12.15pm, meeting at Harrow Art's Centre’s car park. The 4.5 mile trek covers fascinating points of interest and overlaps the London LOOP route. We walk through Pinnerwood Farm, Old Redding and the Grim’s Dyke House and Grounds. This walk has some rough, uneven ground, inclines and is muddy when wet. There is a short rest break at Carpenders Park Garden Centre. We recommend walking shoes/boots and waterproof clothing when rain is forecast.
