Apply for a Pavement licence
The Business and Planning Act 2020 (as amended) has been extended to 30th September 2024. All licences applied for on or after 10th August 2023 will be issued until 30th September 2024.
This is unless a shorter period is specified on the application form.
You will need a MyHarrow account to apply for a licence in Harrow. If you do not have an account or this is your first time using this new service:
- you will need to create or sign in to your account
- then return to this page and whilst signed in, you can continue to apply for the application below.
Applying for a Pavement licence
To apply for a Pavement licence you will need to provide:
- Right to occupy premises (e.g. Leasehold/freehold document or lettings contract)
- Photo of furniture
- Aerial map view
- Public liability insurance certificate
- Sketch plan.
What happens next?
- You must display a notice of application on the premises, the day you submit your application.
- You must make sure your notice remains in place for the public consultation period. The consultation period lasts 5 working days. It begins the day after your application has been validated.
To submit a renewal application, you will need to register for a MyHarrow account and add your licence to your account.
- How to add your licence to your account: Check your email for a message from noreply@harrow.gov.uk requesting you to add your licence. Follow the instructions in the email to complete the process.
- Didn’t Receive the email? Please check your junk and spam folder. If you still can’t locate the email, complete a licence enquiry to update your information and request the email.
Renewing your Pavement licence
If any of the documents listed below have changed or expired, you will need to re-submit them with your application:
- Right to occupy premises (e.g. Leasehold/freehold document or lettings contract)
- Photo of furniture
- Aerial map view
- Public liability insurance certificate
- Sketch plan.
