Apply for a street trading licence
If you are applying for a street trading licence for St Anne’s Road, please do not complete any of the application forms below.

You will need a MyHarrow account to apply for a licence in Harrow. If you do not have an account or this is your first time using this new service:

- then return to this page and whilst signed in, you can continue to apply for the relevant application below.
Apply for a shop front licence
To apply for a shop front licence you will need:
- Two forms of photo identification of the applicant (e.g. Copy of passport and driving licence)
- One passport-style photograph
- Proof of address for the premise (e.g. Recent utility bill, business rates invoice, council tax letter)
- A Google map of your area. This must show the exact location of the proposed trading site and all the nearby streets. It must include all streets within 500m of the site.
- Copy of current Public Liability Insurance Certificate (minimum of £5 million of cover)
- A current trade waste disposal agreement. Or, if you don't have a current agreement, you can use recent bin collection invoices.
- For Businesses which have a butcher/fish counter – Please supply a copy of your raw meat/fish contract
- Proof of planning permission (if applicable)
- Sketch Plan showing measurements of your forecourt. See sketch plan template and guidance notes
- A method of payment for the administration fee.
Apply for a tables and chairs licence
To apply for a tables and chairs licence you will need:
- Two forms of photo identification of the applicant (e.g. Copy of passport and driving licence)
- One passport-style photograph

To apply for a stall pitch licence you will need:

- A Google map of your area. This must show the exact location of the proposed trading site and all the nearby streets. It must include all streets within 500m of the site.
- Copy of current Public Liability Insurance Certificate (minimum of £5 million of cover)
- Proof of planning permission (if applicable)

- One photo of the trading unit
- A method of payment for the administration fee.
For businesses with a butcher or fish counter:
- Please supply a copy of your raw meat or fish contract
Catering food traders:
- A copy of your current Food Hygiene Certificate
- A copy of your food business registration
Apply for a mobile pitch licence
To apply for a mobile pitch licence you will need:
- Two forms of photo identification of the applicant (e.g. Copy of passport and driving licence)
- One passport-style photograph
- A Google map of your area. This must show the exact location of the proposed trading site and all the nearby streets. It must include all streets within 500m of the site.
- Copy of current Public Liability Insurance Certificate (minimum of £5 million of cover)
- A current trade waste disposal agreement. Or, if you don't have a current agreement, you can use recent bin collection invoices.

- MOT Certificate and insurance documents. This is where a motorised vehicle will be used for street trading
- A method of payment for the administration fee.
For businesses with have a butcher or fish counter:
- Please supply a copy of your raw meat or fish contract
Catering food traders:
- A copy of your current Food Hygiene Certificate
- A copy of your food business registration
Apply for a market licence
To apply for a market licence you will need:
- Two forms of photo identification of the applicant (e.g. Copy of passport and driving licence)
- One passport-style photograph
- A Google map of your area. This must show the exact location of the proposed trading site and all the nearby streets. It must include all streets within 500m of the site.
- Copy of current Public Liability Insurance Certificate (minimum of £5 million of cover)
- A current trade waste disposal agreement. Or, if you don't have a current agreement, you can use recent bin collection invoices.
- Proof of planning permission (if applicable)

- One photo of the trading unit
- MOT Certificate and insurance documents. This is where a motorised vehicle will be used for street trading.
- A list of stall/pitch traders and what products they want to sell. This can be given a minimum of two weeks before the event by emailing the licensing team
- A method of payment for the administration fee.
For businesses with have a butcher or fish counter:
- Please supply a copy of your raw meat or fish contract
We may ask for more details from traders. For example, ratings for food hygiene. Also, MOT certificates and insurance.
What happens next?
- You must display a notice within 48 hours of your application being validated.
- Once your application is validated, the consultation period of 28 days will begin.
- We will request the enforcement fee before a licence can be issued to you.
