London Borough of Harrow, in partnership with Wates, is looking to submit a planning application in late 2024 to redevelop the site of the former civic centre on Station Road.
Ahead of submission, the team is hosting a community consultation which will run from Thursday 26 September until Tuesday 12 November through a few in-person events and online to gather views to help shape the plans.
The vision is to create a new neighbourhood to deliver much-needed new homes for Harrow and create generous areas of new public space for local people.
New green spaces will be open to everyone with play areas for new residents and surrounding families. A new park, Poets Garden and a large community square facing Station Road will offer areas for recreation and relaxation.
Local residents are invited to attend a free consultation event where they can find out more about the proposed plans, meet the project team and leave feedback on the following dates:
- Saturday 5th October, 11-2pm – Katie's Statue, 311B Station Road, HA1 1LF
- Thursday 17th October, 2-7pm – Harrow Leisure Centre, Christchurch Avenue, Harrow HA3 5BD
- Friday 18th October, 12-3pm – Poets Corner (former civic centre site), Station Road, HA1 2XH (opposite Harrow Central Mosque)
Information session with updates on design proposals:
- Thursday 7th November, 2-7pm – Harrow Leisure Centre, Christchurch Avenue, Harrow HA3 5BD
- Tuesday 12th November, 6.30-7.30pm – virtual engagement event via Zoom
