Most of our council services now only accept electronic payments. You can still pay with cash for parking in certain areas.
In Harrow, you can park for free for up to one hour once a day in a marked bay on the street or in a car park. This is only where there are signs that state this. You must start a parking session as detailed on the signage in that location.
If you don't have a mobile phone, you can register your free session or pay in any local shop that has the PayPoint sign. Look for the nearest shop on signs in car parks or near on-street parking bays. You can also find your nearest PayPoint shop on the PayPoint website.
PayPoints offer ticketless parking. When you visit a shop you will need your registration and the PayByPhone number. You can get the PayByPhone number from nearby signs.
You will not need to return to your car after paying in a shop.
If there is no participating store within a five-minute walk, we have installed a card-only pay and display machine. You can register your free session or pay for your parking. Then, put the ticket in a visible place in your vehicle.
The one-hour free parking is only valid for your first visit to a paid parking bay each day. Free parking for one hour is not available in resident permit holder bays unless stated on signs.
