Travel assistance

Travel Assistance is for children and young people aged 0-25. It provides help with travel costs to their school or college. They must have an Education Health and Care Plan to qualify.

Independent Travel Training 

Shaftesbury High School offers Travel Training. This helps pupils learn to use public transport. It's for pupils who qualify for travel assistance and go to Shaftesbury High School.

Mileage allowance 

We offer a mileage allowance payment. This is available to eligible families who drive their child to school/college. See the Mileage Policy for further information.

Children without special education needs might get help if their school is far away (more than 2 or 3 miles). Find out more below:
