A 'provider service' is a supply service in the community, home, or hospital. They can be an organisation, agency, group, or individual. Providers vary depending on what is required. For instance, a nursing specialist is unlikely to help you at home.
Some organisations provide services to specific individuals or groups. For example, the HAD helps people with a disability. Harrow Carers supports people who are carers.

We list the details of some local care services below. You can visit the Care Quality Commission website. They provide a database of care homes and care services.

New social care providers
- We are not seeking new home care providers at the moment. We will not process new applications for the register. This is unless a provider offers a specific service needed in Harrow.
We want to provide our residents with the best care and support. We welcome the chance to work with new social care providers. They will help people live well in Harrow.
Our Contracts and Quality Team run a Provider Register. It helps meet our residents' assessed and eligible care needs. Our Care Management and Arranging Care Teams use our Register to find placements.

Strategic Commissioning wants to review home care. They aim to recommission and get a new framework in 2025. The exact timescales are to be confirmed. This will mean engaging the market to inform the approach.
In the future, all registered home care providers in Harrow and nearby areas will be able to apply to become suppliers.
