What is the Conversation Café?

Conversation Café supports Harrow residents who:

  • are disabled
  • are unpaid carers
  • are pensioners
  • who have ongoing health conditions

The Conversation Café team can  help people with:

  • Navigating Adult Social Care 
  • Unpaid Carer Support
  • Living with a Disability
  • Living with a Long-Term Condition
  • Disability Benefits

Our team can help you apply for benefits, but cannot complete applications for you.

Conversation Café venues have information available about:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Carers Allowance

When can I attend the Conversation Café?

  • St Peter's Church. Every Tuesday 10.00am – 2.00pm. Sumner Road, West Harrow, HA1 4BX.
  • Red Brick Café. Every Wednesday 10.30am – 1.30pm. Wealdstone Centre, 38 – 40 High Street, HA3 7AE
  • North Harrow Community Library. Every Wednesday 2pm – 5pm. North harrow Community Library. 429 – 433 Pinner Road, North Harrow, HA1 4HN.

The Safer Neighbourhood Policing team will be joining us. This is a chance to discuss any policing matter over a nice cup of tea or coffee. Come along on these dates:

Forms

We cannot help residents with any forms. This includes benefits and housing. These organisations may help you:

  • If you have a disability, contact HAD. You can call them on 020 8861 9920.
  • If you are homeless or are at risk of losing your home, visit the Housing Needs Team. They are located at Sheldon House, Gayton Road, Harrow HA1 2FB. You can call them on 020 8424 1093.
  • If you need help with benefits and Council Tax, call 020 8901 2610 if you prefer to speak to someone.
