Corporate equality objectives
The Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) was introduced as a result of the Equality Act of 2010. It requires public bodies to prepare and publish one or more equality objective. It began on 6 April 2012 and must occur at least every four years.
Our Corporate Equality Objectives are to
- Address equality in life outcomes
- Deliver fair and equitable services to all
- Create a representative workforce
The objectives support the Restoring Pride in Harrow plan. Our performance is measured by several measures. These are identified by directorates through their service planning process.
A quarterly progress report is produced and presented to the Equality Diversity and Inclusion Board. It contains an annual report to the Performance and Finance Committee.
