Application fees and construction costs
The application fee is £132.30 (non-refundable).
Pavement resurfacing discount
You can get a discount if the pavement on your road is going to be resurfaced.

Construction costs
All crossings are unique. We will send you a detailed quotation for your home after we get your application fee. Most crossings cost between £130 and £180 per square metre.
Parking consultation
If your home is within a Controlled Parking Zone, we may need to remove an on-street parking bay. Approval will be subject to a legal process under the Road Traffic Regulation Act. There will also be a statutory consultation. There is a fee £1177 fee for the consultation. There is no guarantee that the bay can be removed if there is public opposition. The fee is charged regardless of the outcome.
Access covers
You will need to pay more if access covers are within the area of works:
- Large chamber (for example manhole cover) £71
- Small chamber (for example water valve cover) £36
Tree root trial excavation
A one off cost of £150 is required if the crossing is closer than four times the circumference of any street tree
Relocation of lamp post or street furniture
We will give you an individual estimate of costs for changes to lamp posts or street furniture. The cost is usually between £1000 and £2000.
