This SPD gives an overview of issues affecting the eight areas. It also gives guidance for their preservation and enhancement.

The SPD has eight appendices of conservation area appraisals and management strategies.

They provide guidance on their special appearance. They also include ways to preserve and enhance the area's character.

The table below includes:

The Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Strategies
And maps of each conservation area with information on any Article 4 Directions that apply in that area.

Article 4 Directions mean you will need planning permission to carry out work in the area.
